Job Title: Chemistry Lecturer
Location: Central London
Start Date: Wednesday 17th September (strict – must be available and committed)
Contract Details:
- Teaching Level: BTEC
- Hours per Week: 23
- Days per Week: 5
- Rate: £30-£35 per hour
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to BTEC students. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering the curriculum, supporting student progression, and maintaining excellent classroom management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching in Chemistry to BTEC students.
- Develop and prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
- Support and monitor student learning, progress, and achievements.
- Provide feedback, guidance, and academic support as required.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and outcomes.
- Contribute to the development of the curriculum and teaching strategies.
- Ensure compliance with college policies and safeguarding standards.
Requirements:
- A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
- Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a closely related field.
- Experience teaching BTEC (or similar vocational qualifications) is essential.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire learners.
- Fully vetted and able to start on Wednesday 17th September without exception.
- DBS must be on the Update Service
