Job Title: Chemistry Lecturer

Location: Central London

Start Date: Wednesday 17th September (strict – must be available and committed)

Contract Details:

• Teaching Level: BTEC
• Hours per Week: 23
• Days per Week: 5
• Rate: £30-£35 per hour

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to deliver engaging and high-quality teaching to BTEC students. The successful candidate will be confident in delivering the curriculum, supporting student progression, and maintaining excellent classroom management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality teaching in Chemistry to BTEC students.
• Develop and prepare lesson plans and teaching materials.
• Support and monitor student learning, progress, and achievements.
• Provide feedback, guidance, and academic support as required.
• Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and outcomes.
• Contribute to the development of the curriculum and teaching strategies.
• Ensure compliance with college policies and safeguarding standards.

Requirements:

• A recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
• Degree or equivalent in Chemistry or a closely related field.
• Experience teaching BTEC (or similar vocational qualifications) is essential.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to inspire learners.
• Fully vetted and able to start on Wednesday 17th September without exception.
• DBS must be on the Update Service
