Harkaye Core Talent is partnering with a leading national law firm to appoint a highly experienced Head of Clinical Negligence.
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Clinical Negligence to lead a highly skilled national team of lawyers. This is a pivotal leadership role within a progressive, forward-thinking law firm that prides itself on delivering exceptional service to clients across the country.
As the Head of Clinical Negligence, you will be responsible for strategically driving the department, ensuring operational excellence, and fostering a collaborative culture that empowers the team to achieve outstanding results. You will have full responsibility for managing resources, implementing best practices, and shaping the future direction of the team in line with the firm's overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide inspirational leadership to a national team of clinical negligence specialists, including senior lawyers and support staff.
- Drive strategic growth and operational improvements within the department.
- Manage performance, development, and succession planning to ensure a high-performing team.
- Oversee a diverse and complex caseload, offering guidance and expertise on high-value matters.
- Develop and implement policies, processes, and KPIs to ensure efficiency and consistent service delivery.
- Build and maintain strong internal and external stakeholder relationships.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory and legal requirements.
- Actively contribute to business planning, budgeting, and financial performance management.
About You:
- A qualified solicitor with extensive experience in clinical negligence law and a proven track record of leadership.
- Strong people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop others.
- Commercially astute with the ability to align departmental objectives to wider business goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience managing a national or multi-site team is highly desirable.
- A forward-thinking leader who embraces innovation and continuous improvement.
