Job description

We are seeking a commercially astute and highly experienced Head of HR to lead the People function in a complex, unionised, multi-site environment. This senior leadership role requires proven expertise in M&A, TUPE, trade union negotiations, and employment relations, alongside strong operational HR leadership.


The role includes:

  • Shaping and delivering a people strategy aligned to growth and organisational objectives.
  • Acting as HR lead on M&A projects, including due diligence, TUPE, and integration.
  • Leading ER matters, trade union relationships, consultations, and negotiations.
  • Driving consistency in HR operations and compliance across multiple sites.
  • Leading succession planning, leadership development, and performance management.

The essentials:

  • CIPD qualified.
  • Extensive HR leadership experience in multi-site, unionised environments.
  • Strong track record in M&A, TUPE, and union engagement.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment law and HR best practice.
  • Skilled at influencing senior leaders and managing complex negotiations.

Details:

Location: Mainly remote, with travel to Porthmadog sites as required

Reports to: Managing Director

Salary: £60,000–£65,000 plus benefits

Contract: Permanent, full time
