SEN Tutor


Are you an experienced 1:1 Tutor, or got a background in teaching within SEND, and looking for a part-time tutoring role on a casual basis?


A well-established, independent company are looking for inspiring SEN Tutors to support vulnerable students in Maths, English, and core subject interventions at KS3 or foundation KS4 level. Roles available across the UK: Stockport, Radcliffe, King's Lynn, Portsmouth, Halifax, Thatcham, Wiltshire, Wakefield, Shrewsbury, Sleaford, Doncaster and Scunthorpe.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver face-to-face lessons in students’ homes
  • Work closely with our safeguarding specialists
  • Help students with SEND or SEMH needs re-engage with education

Requirements:

  • QTS/QTLS is highly desirable
  • A committed and passionate view of students with SEND
  • Experience of tuition of children with SEND or SEMH needs
  • Full UK driving license

About the company:

This inspiring company supports young people who can’t access mainstream education due to social, emotional, or mental health challenges. Their personalised approach includes face-to-face home tuition, online lessons with subject specialists, and outdoor learning through PEAK activity centres.


They are expanding in Greater Manchester and offer flexible tutoring roles. While the contract is zero-hours, regular work is guaranteed (averaging roughly 6 hours per week).


This is a special opportunity to work with young people with a range of SEMH/SEND learning barriers. You will be instrumental in supporting them at-home, forming a strong rapport and building their subject knowledge to help reintegrate back into education.


As SEN Tutor, you will require access to a car, and be able to travel around your region.
