Our client, a leading educational institute based in London, is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join their People team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where you’ll provide proactive HR advice and support to staff and managers across a broad range of areas.


As a HR Advisor, you will:

  • Provide expert guidance and support on employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence management
  • Advise managers and staff on HR policies, procedures and best practice to ensure consistency and compliance
  • Support recruitment and selection processes, from drafting job descriptions to participating in interviews and onboarding
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives, including wellbeing, equality, diversity and inclusion, and employee engagement
  • Maintain and update HR systems, ensuring data accuracy and supporting the production of management information reports
  • Review and develop HR policies and procedures in line with employment law and organisational needs
  • Provide advice on pay, benefits and contractual terms, and support annual performance and pay review processes
  • Build strong working relationships across departments, promoting a positive and inclusive workplace culture


What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as an HR Advisor, ideally within the education, charity or public sector
  • Sound knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Experience managing a range of employee relations cases from start to resolution
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and build trust
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • CIPD Level 3 qualification
