O'Neill & Brennan are working on behalf of a well-established civil engineering contractor with a strong track record of delivering high-profile infrastructure and groundworks projects across Central London. Due to a healthy pipeline of work and ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an experienced Health and Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for a driven H&S professional looking to join a reputable business that genuinely prioritises health, safety, and well-being across all its operations.


The Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing health and safety across multiple live sites, ensuring full compliance with industry standards and legislation. You'll play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, working closely with site teams, subcontractors, and management to ensure best practices are consistently upheld.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting regular site inspections and audits
  • Advising site teams on health, safety, and environmental matters
  • Reviewing and supporting the development of RAMS
  • Investigating incidents, near misses, and accidents, and producing thorough reports
  • Delivering site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
  • Monitoring and reporting on H&S KPIs
  • Liaising with clients and regulatory bodies where required
  • Supporting the ongoing improvement of the company’s HSEQ systems

Candidate Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a health and safety role within UK Construction or Civil Engineering
  • Solid understanding of CDM Regulations and HSE best practices
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working across multiple sites in Central London
  • Full UK driving licence
  • IOSH membership or working towards – desirable
