Our client, a leading professional membership body, is seeking an experienced Examinations Officer to provide essential administrative and operational support in the delivery of high-stakes professional examinations.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic education and assessment team, where you’ll play a vital role in maintaining exam integrity, supporting candidates and examiners, and ensuring the smooth delivery of assessments across multiple formats.

As an Examinations Officer, you will:

  • Support the Data Analyst with the collation, validation, and reporting of examination data
  • Produce and distribute candidate and examiner surveys to support post-exam evaluation and quality improvement
  • Maintain and update question banks, producing exam papers from existing templates and ensuring compliance with internal standards
  • Provide administrative support to assessment meetings, including standard setting and quality assurance panels
  • Manage onboarding of candidates to the examination delivery platform and ensure user queries are resolved efficiently
  • Identify, book, and support examiners and candidates, managing the logistics of examination days and venue coordination
  • Share responsibility for the exams helpdesk, managing email and telephone queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Contribute to continuous improvement within the exams process, identifying opportunities to enhance accuracy and candidate experience

What we’re looking for:

  • Strong administrative experience, ideally within higher education, professional examinations, or medical education
  • Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and clear correspondence for varied audiences
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and the confidence to learn new databases and software systems
  • Demonstrable experience engaging with stakeholders and handling confidential or sensitive information
  • Highly organised, with the ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet strict deadlines
  • Strong numeracy and accuracy, with meticulous attention to detail
  • Knowledge of postgraduate medical education or professional certification processes (desirable)
  • Experience managing or supporting teams through change (desirable)
