Job description

Planet Pharma is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Clinical Trial Assistant to join a leading team in the UK. This role is pivotal in supporting the smooth running of clinical trials and ensuring compliance with regulatory and operational standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for the unit, managing front-of-house activities.
  • Organize and schedule patient visits in line with study protocols.
  • Chase and manage medical records to ensure timely availability for trial activities.
  • Provide administrative support across the unit, including document handling and filing.
  • Liaise with GPs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate trial-related tasks.
  • Assist in communication and coordination with study sponsors.
  • Support broader operational and administrative functions to maintain trial efficiency.


Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Previous experience in a similar role at a clinical research site is highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and sponsors.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications

  • Background in clinical research or healthcare administration preferred.
  • Knowledge of ICH-GCP guidelines is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and clinical trial management systems.
  • Open to candidates with nursing experience who are looking to transition into research roles (e.g., aspiring RN or Study Coordinator).
