Apprenticeship Learning Advisor – Accountancy Programmes

Join our team as an Apprenticeship Learning Advisor and make a real impact on the future of aspiring accountants.


About the Role

As a Learning Advisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting and coaching learners through their accountancy apprenticeship programmes. You’ll ensure learners achieve occupational competency and complete their qualifications on time, in line with ESFA, Ofsted, and awarding body standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of ~45 learners, providing monthly 1:1 coaching and quarterly progress reviews.
  • Conduct initial assessments and competency skill scans during onboarding.
  • Deliver induction sessions and agree tailored learning plans.
  • Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback on reflective work.
  • Prepare learners for End Point Assessment (EPA) and Gateway.
  • Liaise with employers to align workplace training with apprenticeship standards.
  • Track academic performance and escalate concerns using a risk register.
  • Maintain accurate documentation via E-portfolio systems (e.g., OneFile).


Essential Skills & Experience

  • Experience delivering accountancy apprenticeships (AAT, ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
  • Strong understanding of apprenticeship funding rules and Education Inspection Framework.
  • Skilled in coaching, mentoring, and learner assessment.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and E-portfolio systems.
  • Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.


Desirable

  • Professional coaching qualification or willingness to work towards one.
  • Experience with OneFile (preferred but not essential).
