Job description
Job title: Head of Short Courses (interim)
Location: Central London (onsite)
Working Pattern: 7.5 hours per day, 3 days a week (flexible)
Pay Rate: £23.59 - £26.67 per hour + holiday pay
Contract: Part time (3-4 months)
Start Date: Mid-January
Interview Date: w/c 8th December

About the Role:
We’re seeking an Interim Head of Short Courses to lead and shape the future of our vibrant short course offering. From 1-day workshops to 10-week arts related courses, this role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and delivery of high-quality, engaging programs that inspire learners of all levels.
You will play a key role in overseeing a small team, collaborating with a wide range of stakeholders, and ensuring that every course we deliver is nothing short of exceptional. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong arts background and commercial education experience who thrives in a leadership role.
What you will do:
- Manage a small, passionate team to deliver high-quality short courses, from design to execution, with a focus on creativity, excellence, and student experience.
- Work with internal teams to develop new courses and enhance existing ones. Explore new opportunities to expand and innovate the course catalog.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote courses, boost attendance, and increase sales.
- Manage budgets for each course, ensuring we meet financial targets while maintaining high standards.
- Cultivate strong, positive relationships with students, tutors, and external partners to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
What we are looking for:
- A deep understanding and passion for the arts, with hands-on experience in arts education or similar creative fields.
- Proven experience in leading and motivating small teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational, planning, and financial management skills to ensure courses run smoothly and on budget.
- Experience in delivering commercially successful educational programs, with the ability to drive course attendance and generate revenue.
