Position: Academia Expert

Referral Partner: Crossing Hurdles

Type: Hourly contract

Compensation: $60–$70 per hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 10–40 hours/week, flexible and asynchronous

Duration: ~4 weeks with potential extension

Role Responsibilities

• Create domain-specific academic prompts across subjects like Math, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, etc.
• Evaluate AI-generated academic responses for clarity, accuracy & reasoning quality.
• Draft expert-level “gold standard” answers used for model benchmarking.
• Identify conceptual mistakes, reasoning gaps, or style issues in model outputs.
• Collaborate asynchronously with research teams to refine evaluation methods.

Ideal Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in an academic discipline (STEM/Science preferred).
• Strong command of academic writing, problem-solving & research formatting conventions.
• Excellent analytical, reasoning and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong evaluation precision.
• Experience with AI tools/prompting is a plus, not mandatory.
