Calling all Antimicrobial Experts! – Locum Band 8a Senior Pharmacist

An NHS hospital in North West England is looking for a dynamic Senior Antimicrobial Pharmacist to join the pharmacy team on a locum basis. If you’re passionate about optimising antimicrobial use, improving patient outcomes, and driving best-practice stewardship, this could be the role for you!

What you’ll be doing:

• Leading Trust-wide antimicrobial stewardship and ensuring evidence-based prescribing
• Providing specialist input on microbiology ward rounds and infection cases
• Supporting and monitoring OPAT patients
• Developing, updating, and auditing antimicrobial guidelines (CQUINs)
• Delivering AMS training and contributing to infection control & quality improvement

What we’re looking for:

• GPhC-registered Pharmacist with a Postgraduate Clinical Diploma
• Strong hospital pharmacy experience
• Significant antimicrobial/AMS expertise
• Bonus: Independent Prescriber, audit/guideline development experience
• Start asap - 3months plus
• Pay rate £34-£36 ph umbrella (or its PAYE equivalent)
