Clinical Psychologist - Children's Autism & Learning Disabilities

£60,000 - £65,000 per annum (DOE)

Full Time

Hybrid Working Available

Visa sponsorship available


Essential:

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
  • Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g. HCPC).
  • Experience working with children and young people with autism and/or learning disabilities.
  • Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental assessment, formulation, and intervention.
  • Experience working with families and carers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.


Responsibilities:


  • Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and young people with suspected or diagnosed autism and/or learning disabilities.
  • Contribute to diagnostic assessments, including autism diagnostic pathways, using recognised tools and clinical judgement.
  • Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual developmental, cognitive, and emotional needs.
  • Provide behavioural, emotional, and sensory-informed support strategies for children and families.
  • Offer parent and caregiver consultations, guidance, and psychoeducation.
  • Write clear, high-quality clinical reports with practical recommendations for families, schools, and other professionals.
