Clinical Psychologist - Children's Autism & Learning Disabilities
£60,000 - £65,000 per annum (DOE)
Full Time
Hybrid Working Available
Visa sponsorship available
Essential:
- Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent).
- Registered with the relevant professional regulatory body (e.g. HCPC).
- Experience working with children and young people with autism and/or learning disabilities.
- Strong knowledge of neurodevelopmental assessment, formulation, and intervention.
- Experience working with families and carers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological assessments for children and young people with suspected or diagnosed autism and/or learning disabilities.
- Contribute to diagnostic assessments, including autism diagnostic pathways, using recognised tools and clinical judgement.
- Develop and deliver evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual developmental, cognitive, and emotional needs.
- Provide behavioural, emotional, and sensory-informed support strategies for children and families.
- Offer parent and caregiver consultations, guidance, and psychoeducation.
- Write clear, high-quality clinical reports with practical recommendations for families, schools, and other professionals.
