Mechanical Design Engineer, Blackwood, up to £42,000

Company profile:

A leading force in the world of Electrical Solutions is currently expanding and is looking for an Mechanical Design Engineer to join them in their Switchgear manufacturing team.

A global business, they offer a range of services, including the manufacturing of AC/DC Solutions, transformers, substation equipment and others. They’re also responsible for the design, construction, and commissioning of HV electrical infrastructure within the UK Network, with over 200 HV projects, through their engineering services business.

They’re incredibly well known in the Electrical Engineering world for their innovative and industry leading switchgear products, and this is an exciting chance for an Engineer to progress their career.

Responsibilities:

• Develop new designs as well as design modifications.
• Work with cross-functional teams during product development stage to ensure VOCs are fed into the design.
• Assist with design reviews, analyse hardware designs.

Necessary experience:

• HNC/HND or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Background in Mechanical Design.
• Experience with Simulation software such as Ansys.

Benefits:

• Salary up to £42,000.

• Tiered pension- If you put in 2.5 they’ll put in 5.5, if you put in 3.5 they’ll put in 6, if you put in 4.5 they’ll put in 7.
