Role Overview
Biocon Biologics is seeking an accomplished Sales & Launched brands Lead to drive growth, market access, and commercial excellence across the UK and Ireland. This role is pivotal in shaping the regional commercial strategy for our biosimilar and biologics portfolio, strengthening partnerships with healthcare systems, and ensuring successful execution and lifecycle plans. Sales & Launched brands Lead will serve as the senior commercial representative in the region, working cross functionally to deliver sustainable business performance and improved patient access to ‑high-quality‑ biologics.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a high performing‑ commercial team (sales, key account management, and marketing).
- Set clear performance expectations and foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Create and manage end to end process delivering Sales incentive plans
- Ensure field teams are equipped with compelling materials, insights, and training.
Market Access & Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with national and regional health authorities, payers, procurement bodies, wholesaler distributors and NHS stakeholders to secure optimal access and reimbursement.
- Shape value propositions and contracting strategies tailored to local healthcare system needs.
- Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders, clinical communities, and patient focused‑ organisations.
- End to end management of the tender process for UK and Ireland
Commercial Strategy & Execution
- Co-develop and execute the UK & Ireland commercial strategy for the full Biocon Biologics portfolio.
- Co-lead annual business planning, forecasting, and performance tracking for existing portfolio
- Identify growth opportunities, competitive threats, and market dynamics to inform strategic decisions.
- Drive successful product execution, ensuring alignment across marketing, medical, market access, and supply chain teams.
Cross ‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with global and regional teams across Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Finance, PV and Legal.
- Represent the UK & Ireland in global commercial forums, providing market insights and strategic recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with ABPI Code of Practice and all relevant local regulations.
Business Performance & Governance
- Deliver revenue, margin, and market share targets across the portfolio.
- Oversee tender management, pricing strategy, and contract negotiations.
- Ensure robust commercial governance, risk management, and ethical business conduct.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of pharmaceutical or biologics commercial experience, including sales leadership roles.
- Proven success in biosimilars, specialty medicines, or hospital ‑based therapies.
- Strong understanding of the UK and Ireland healthcare systems, procurement pathways, and market access environment.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage complex stakeholders, and deliver commercial results.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
