Quality Health and Safety Manager

Medibeam is looking for a Quality Health and Safety Manager

Job description

This is a company where everything happens under one roof, raw materials in, sheet metal, welding, CNC machining, assembly, testing.

That means there is a chance to influence at every stage, from incoming inspection through to testing, compliance, and continuous improvement.

They’re now looking for a Quality, Health & Safety Manager with a strong multi-process manufacturing background to join the team on a permanent basis.

The role:

As Quality, Health & Safety Manager, you’ll take ownership of standards across the manufacturing site, leading quality and safety activity in a fast moving, hands on environment.

You’ll lead a small but capable team of Quality and QHSE Engineers, setting direction and driving KPIs across quality, health, safety and environmental performance.

This is not a desk bound role. You’ll be on the shop floor, challenging processes that aren’t robust and working closely with operations and R&D.

As Quality Health and Safety Manager you’ll:

• Lead a small but capable team.

• Act as the key point of contact for customer complaints & supplier issues.

• Be the one who spots the escape points before they cost time and money.

• Assess and improve Health & Safety across the shop floor.

• Lead accident reporting and investigations, and support teams with corrective actions.

• Deliver toolbox talks and provide day-to-day guidance on quality and safety matters.

• Support supplier performance, PPAP requirements and new product introduction.

• Work with operations on risk assessments, FMEAs, risk management plans and SOPs.

The details you’ll want to know:

Salary: £60–65k depending on experience

Onsite five days a week

Early finish every Friday (1:30pm)

Occasional travel to a second site, but home base stays the same

If you’ve got 5+ years’ experience in QHSE, internal auditing know-how, and the confidence to drive standards in a busy, multi process environment, this could be the move you’ve been waiting for. It would be great if you have NEBOSH, but if not IOSH is also considered.

This business are regularly growing through acquisitions, with more plans already in motion.

Join now and you’ll be right in the thick of it, helping shape processes as the company expands.
