Expert Witness Opportunity for Occupational Therapists
£45/hr | £80/hr Travel | £90/hr Tribunal | £0.55/mile**
We are expanding our panel of Occupational Therapist Expert Witnesses and are seeking highly experienced OTs with strong clinical backgrounds and excellent analytical skills. Ideal OT Expert Witness ProfileProfessional Background
- Qualified Occupational Therapist with 10+ years’ experience in clinical practice and/or case management.
- Strong background in:
- Polytrauma
- Orthopaedics
- Amputees
- Brain injury
- Spinal cord injury
- Paediatric brain & spinal injuries
- Experience working as a Case Manager or independent practitioner is highly desirable.
Specialist Skills
- Skilled in costing care packages across statutory and private sectors.
- Strong understanding of rehabilitation, long‑term support needs, care planning and care costs.
- Confident assessing complex needs and projecting future care requirements.
Expert Witness Competencies
- May already have experience writing independent expert witness reports (not essential).
- Understanding of court‑compliant reporting standards, deadlines and professional duties.
- Ability to produce clear, structured, defensible reports.
Employment Requirements
- Self‑employed OT (cannot work for another expert witness company).
- Able to commit one day per week to expert witness work.
- Capacity to complete a minimum of 6 reports per year.
- Willing to travel for assessments.
- Based in England, ideally with good transport links.
