Sales Specialist - Journals

London - Hybrid: 3 Days in the office / 2 WFH)

Starting salary £30,000 - £33,000 + bonus + monthly travel allowance

About the Company

A rapidly growing international organisation leading the way in open scientific research. Their mission is simple: make science accessible to everyone. With billions of article views and a global research community, they are expanding their Publishing Development team and looking for a driven Journal Sales Specialist to join them.

What You Will Be Doing

• Managing the full journey of scientific article collections from concept to publication

• Building strong relationships with researchers and academic editors

• Driving growth in assigned scientific areas using data‑driven insights

• Conducting outreach calls, including confident cold‑call‑style engagement

• Supporting authors and improving publishing processes

• Recruiting new experts to strengthen editorial boards

What You Will Need to Succeed

• Experience in sales or business development

• Confidence managing high volumes of work

• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills

• Tech‑savvy and comfortable with digital tools

• Excellent written and spoken English

• Passion for Open Science and meaningful, mission‑driven work
