Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: London, Waterloo
Temp-to-Perm | Flexible Hybrid
We are working with a London-based Data Centre Consultancy who are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team in London, Waterloo.
This person will be working on the design and implementation of mechanical systems within data centre environments, playing a key role in the design, development and optimisation of critical systems that support data centre infrastructure.

The Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for:
- Design and develop mechanical systems for data centres, including HVAC, cooling systems, fire suppression, and other critical infrastructure
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems into the overall design
- Provide support during the installation, commissioning, and testing of systems
- Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical design-related issues during the lifecycle of a project
Our Mechanical Design Engineer will have the following:
- Data Centre experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience designing mechanical systems in data centres
- Strong knowledge of HVAC, cooling systems, and fire suppression designs in a data centre context
- Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, etc.)
