Residential Support Worker – Children & Young People (Derbyshire)
£30k – £33k per year (includes an average of two sleep-ins per week)
We’re recruiting on behalf of a specialist provider of residential homes and education settings supporting children and young people with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) and associated learning needs.
The Role
- Provide high-quality, nurturing care within a residential setting
- Build positive, trusting relationships
- Support education, independence and emotional wellbeing
- Encourage hobbies, social activities and community involvement (e.g. Sports, arts, outings)
- Work collaboratively with families and professionals
- Contribute to care planning and maintain clear records
- Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times
About You
- Passionate about supporting young people with additional needs
- Calm, resilient and consistent in setting boundaries
- Strong communicator and effective team member
- Committed to safeguarding, equality and professional growth
- Flexible to work shifts, including sleep-ins and alternate weekends
Shift Patterns
- A mix of early, late and full-day shifts, including some weekends and bank holidays.
