We have a strong business culture that values our team as being the heart of our success.

About the Role

  • Support H&S inductions for new starters, contractors and visitors; deliver toolbox talks and briefings as required.
  • Maintain key H&S documentation, registers and records (training, inspections, statutory checks) and contribute to KPI reporting.
  • Support emergency preparedness: procedures, drills and follow-up actions from drills/inspections.
  • Work closely with Production and Maintenance to identify hazards, improve controls and embed safer working practices.
  • Support contractor management on site, including safe working arrangements and supervision standards.
  • Take ownership of H&S improvement projects and other reasonable duties as required.

Essential:

  • Proven experience in a Health & Safety advisory role within a manufacturing/industrial environment.
  • Practical experience completing risk assessments, inspections, audits and incident investigations.

  • Confident communicator with the ability to coach, influence and challenge constructively.
  • Strong report writing and attention to detail; able to manage actions through to completion.
  • Practical, solutions-focused approach and confidence working on the shopfloor in PPE.

Desirable:

  • Internal auditor training/qualification (ISO 45001).
  • NEBOSH Fire Certificate or equivalent fire safety training.

Outcomes

This role is measured by:

  • Planned inspections/audits completed and actions closed out on time.
  • Risk assessments/SSOW completed and reviewed to schedule.
  • Inductions and priority H&S training delivered on time and to standard.
  • Investigations completed within agreed timescales with effective corrective actions.
  • Positive audit/inspection outcomes and sustained legal compliance.

Benefits
