Job description
Account Manager/SAM– Infrastructure Engagement (NSIPs)
If you want to work on engagement for important legacy projects, this could be your chance.
This is not traditional public affairs.
And it’s not generic community engagement.
This is post-consent engagement on some of the UK’s most significant infrastructure programmes - the kind that reshape regions, dominate headlines and demand grown-up, politically astute stakeholder management.
This specialist consultancy works with major infrastructure clients as a trusted delivery partner. They’re embedded in live programmes, supporting complex regional, political and commercial engagement once projects move from consent into delivery.
They’re now looking for an Account Manager with around 2–3 years’ experience in engagement, infrastructure, public affairs or major projects.
What you’ll be doing
- Supporting senior colleagues on high-profile NSIPs in delivery
- Managing stakeholder workstreams across political, community and commercial audiences
- Drafting briefings, engagement materials and strategic messaging
- Coordinating activity across clients, contractors and delivery partners
- Being client-facing early - this is not a back-office role
You’ll need to be comfortable in complex environments and have a nimble mindset. Infrastructure delivery is nuanced, it’s political and it really matters.
The kind of experience that works well here
- Major infrastructure or regeneration projects
- NSIPs or DCO exposure
- Transport, energy, aviation, rail or utilities
- Tier 1 contractors, engineering consultancies or specialist engagement firms
- Political or regional stakeholder management
If you’ve started your career in planning consents or community engagement and are ready for something more strategic and delivery-focused, this is a brilliant next step.
Why them?
- Small, expert team with serious credibility in the sector
- Trusted advisors, not box-ticking consultants
- High visibility and responsibility from day one
- Clear progression as the business grows
- Smart, thoughtful colleagues who genuinely care about doing this work properly
Hybrid working (2-3 days in their SE1 office).
Competitive salary + bonus.
If you’re ambitious, curious about infrastructure, and want to build real depth in this space, I’d love to tell you more.
