PUBLIC RELATIONS ACCOUNT MANAGER/SENIOR ACCOUNT MANAGER


Our client is an exciting start-up with a creative approach. Specialising in traditional PR communications and influencer relations they help clients challenge perceptions and increase brand awareness for their range of exciting consumer brands that spans food & drink and lifestyle sectors.


They are looking for a talented Account Manager, with a PR agency background who is smart and driven, they would also consider an SAM. Working as part of a creative family the role is perfect for someone who is keen to get stuck in and play an integral part in this agency’s continued success.



Role and Responsibilities…

  • Produce client plans using insights as well as a solid industry understanding based on your client’s business and marketplace
  • Ensure you have solid media contacts across a variety of titles and build a clear understanding of their requirements, developing rapport with key influencers and mid-level press contacts
  • Input creative ideas into feature plans, continue to achieve appropriate feature coverage and learn to place case studies in the media
  • Provide regular, accurate and concise progress reports back to your client
  • Plan, coordinate and execute assigned elements of your clients PR plan (e.g. Launches, press trip) to a high standard, adhering to deadlines and budgets.
  • Ensure you are the client’s day-to-day point of contact to cement a strong relationship
  • Attend all client meetings and conference calls; offer up ideas and insight
  • Work closely with your ASD on new business goals and make appropriate suggestions
  • Oversee events, including planning, team management, budgeting, execution and analysis
  • Keep your team updated on the progress work and provide assistance to your junior team


Skills and Experience…

  • Excellent writing skills and experience of working on multi-layered brand campaigns, news generation as well as running press office/s
  • Have a passion for media relations - with proven media contacts
  • Experience of drafting consumer media strategies and sell-in plans - managing sell-ins
  • Experience of working and briefing talent/ influencers teamed with an understanding of marketing channels
  • A keen interest in current affairs and able to take an educated point of view on news stories that relevant to your clients
  • A proactive, positive and confident approach to problem solving
  • Demonstrate creative thinking to identify ideas, trends and newsjacking opportunities – enjoy contributing to brainstorms
  • The desire to understand the business and build strong commercial awareness
  • Strong IT skills - Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and Powerpoint
