Are you a proactive, organised and ambitious PR Account Executive ready for a step up?

Hound is looking for a Junior Account Manager with all those qualities. Read on to see if we’re the right fit for each other.

First of all, who is Hound?

We’re an independent PR agency that helps clients out-think, not out-spend, their competition.

We work with household names like Vodafone, Well Pharmacy and Purplebricks. Different sizes, different industries but all with the same expectations: smart thinking, clever work and measurable results.

Our work combines PR, social and SEO, but we don’t treat them as separate disciplines. If we secure coverage, we think about how it works socially. If we create content, we think about how it ranks and drives visibility. Everything we do earns attention and drives impact.

More importantly, we’re a friendly, down-to-earth team. We work hard and we don’t overcomplicate things.

So, what’s the role?

This is a great opportunity for someone with solid agency experience who’s ready to step up and grow their role beyond that of the ‘traditional press office’.

You’ll work across a range of client accounts - helping deliver everything from corporate PR and creative consumer campaigns to content and creator partnerships - supporting the senior lead while taking increasing ownership.

You’ll help drive media outreach, coordinate creator collaborations, draft high-quality comms and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.

You’ll have senior guidance and mentorship, but you’ll also need to show initiative and think ahead.

Interested? Here are the key responsibilities:

Support the day-to-day running of multiple client accounts across PR, social and influencer

  • Own specific campaign areas, ensuring delivery is on time and to a high standard
  • Write sharp press releases, media pitches, briefing documents, reports, coverage and client updates
  • Lead proactive media outreach and build strong relationships with journalists
  • Help identify, brief and manage content creators and influencers
  • Coordinate campaign assets across press, social and creator channels
  • Keep a close eye on media and digital trends, spotting reactive and culturally relevant opportunities
  • Support research, creative ideation sessions and campaign planning
  • Maintain strong organisation across timelines, trackers and shared documents
  • Support new business research and pitch preparation where required

And here is what we’re (ideally) looking for from you:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a PR or integrated communications agency
  • Experience supporting campaigns involving content creators or influencers
  • A strong writer with sharp attention to detail
  • Confident pitching to media and comfortable engaging creators or talent
  • Organised, reliable and proactive
  • Calm under pressure and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines
  • Curious about how media, social and culture intersect
  • Ambitious and keen to develop into a future senior leader
  • Flexible in your working patterns and don't expect a strict 9 to 5 routine

Other reasons you might want to join us:

  • A tight-knit, highly experienced team with a newsroom mindset
  • Direct access to senior leaders, with real responsibility early on
  • Exposure to properly integrated campaigns
  • Ambitious clients who trust us to deliver bold, story-first ideas
  • Flexible working, competitive benefits and genuine progression opportunities
  • The chance to grow quickly and shape your own path within the agency
