Associate HCPC Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist

We are seeking qualified clinicians experienced in working with individuals, children and adolescents, as well as couples, to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and experienced Clinical or Counselling Psychologist to join our Child & Family and/or Adult Pathway on a part-time associate basis. We welcome applications from clinicians looking to build or expand their private practice within a supportive, established clinic setting.


Job Title: Associate HCPC Registered Clinical or Counselling Psychologist


Salary:

Competitive hourly rates (depending on experience)

Hours:

Part-time – weekday daytime clinics available (including Fridays).

Evening or Saturday availability is welcomed and preferred, but not essential.

Please note: availability is required on a regular weekly basis.

Annual Leave:

As a self-employed clinician, there is no statutory holiday pay

Key Responsibilities

As an Associate Clinical or Counselling Psychologist, you will provide specialist psychological services to children, young people and families, and/or adult clients at TCPC. Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting psychological assessments and developing collaborative formulations.
  • Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions tailored to individual client needs.
  • Providing individual therapy and, where appropriate, couples work.
  • Working sensitively with clients from diverse backgrounds and with varied psychological presentations.
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records in line with professional standards.


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking psychologists with experience in NHS and/or private mental health settings. Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

  • Experience working with children, adolescents and/or adults.
  • Confidence managing complex presentations and/or neurodevelopmental conditions.
  • Training in therapeutic modalities such as Schema Therapy, DBT, EMDR, or Couples Therapy (desirable but not essential).
  • Strong clinical judgement, professionalism and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Availability to commit to regular weekly clinics (evening and Saturday availability particularly welcomed).
