Senior Sales Manager

Xpofairs is looking for a Senior Sales Manager

Job description

Wimbledon, London | Immediate Start

About XpoFairs

Xpofairs has created a proprietary online trade show platform that modernizes how businesses exhibit, connect, and trade globally, efficiently, and at scale.

We combine smart technology with a practical, commercial approach to make exhibiting simpler, faster, and far more cost-effective, while delivering better outcomes for exhibitors and visitors and a positive impact on the world.

Our platform has already powered our first events. The next phase is clear: scale fast, scale smart, and scale sustainably.

The Role

We are hiring a Senior Sales Manager to lead revenue growth and build a high-performing sales function. This is a hands-on leadership role in an early-stage business: you will contribute to designing the sales structure, recruit and develop a team, and set the standards for outreach, conversion, and account management.

You will run deals end-to-end—from cold prospecting through closing larger commercial agreements—while ensuring the team hits targets and improves performance month-on-month. You’ll also bring strong CRM discipline, reporting rigour, and clear operating procedures.

Energy matters. We want a leader who is upbeat, personable, and brings a positive office presence to someone who will help shape culture as we scale.

What You'll Be Responsible For?

  • Design and implement a scalable sales strategy for online trade shows across multiple industries and territories.
  • Hire, manage, coach, and motivate a high-output sales team.
  • Create a performance culture with clear expectations, daily activity standards, regular pipeline/deal reviews, and continuous training.
  • Personally drive pipeline generation and close key strategic deals.
  • Lead outbound prospecting across cold calling, email sequencing, and social media outreach.
  • Develop pricing/packaging where required and run commercial negotiations through to signed agreements.
  • Land lighthouse accounts in priority industry sectors.
  • Implement and enforce CRM standards: stages, hygiene, activity logging, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Build the operating cadence (daily, weekly targets, dashboards, pipeline reviews, deal reviews, and training sessions).
  • Create repeatable playbooks for prospecting, qualification, proposals, follow-ups, and handovers.
  • Report weekly to the founders and maintain forecast accuracy.
  • In collaboration with the founders, set revenue targets and ensure funnel integrity.
  • Develop partnerships and collaborations with relevant industry bodies.
  • Pioneer AI-driven approaches to improve efficiency, consistency, and performance.
  • Work closely with founders/product teams to feed market insights into platform development and messaging.
  • Develop sponsorship opportunities as an additional revenue stream.

What Success Looks Like?

  • A functioning sales machine with clear process, metrics, and accountability.
  • A consistent, high-quality pipeline built through structured outbound activity.
  • Strong conversion performance across the funnel (meeting rate, proposal rate, close rate).
  • A trained, motivated sales team hitting targets and improving month-on-month.
  • Clean CRM data and forecasting leadership can rely on.
  • Key wins closed that validate the proposition and create momentum for scale.

Who This Role Suits

  • At least 7 years’ experience in a Senior Sales Manager position (or equivalent). We will also consider exceptional candidates with fewer years’ experience who are academically strong and clearly on a trajectory toward a Head of Sales role.
  • Significant B2B sales experience (technology/media/services/platforms preferred).
  • Proven track record building sales from scratch: outbound → pipeline → closes → team scale.
  • Experience coaching and developing junior talent in fast-paced environments.
  • Experience building and leading teams selling internationally is strongly preferred.

Skills and Behaviours

  • Strong outbound leadership: cold calling, messaging, objection handling, follow-up discipline.
  • Commercial judgement: pricing, negotiation, stakeholder management, deal structuring.
  • Operational excellence: CRM rigour, forecasting, dashboards, cadence, and process adherence.
  • Highly effective at reporting and communicating with the founders in a clear, concise, and results-focused manner
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: comfort with ambiguity, speed, adaptability and building as you go.
  • A strong academic record with A grades is preferred. Experience in events, SaaS, marketplaces, media, or sponsorship-led models is helpful.

What We Offer

  • Early-stage leadership seat with direct impact on growth.
  • High autonomy and visibility, working closely with founders and group leadership.
  • The opportunity to build a team and sales culture from the ground up.
  • Competitive compensation with performance upside
  • Office-based role in a high-energy, professional team environment.
  •  A genuine path to becoming a core leader in the business — and for exceptional performance, potential participation in longer-term equity/ownership subject to performance and proven impact.

This is a full-time office-based role at our offices in Wimbledon.
