About the Role



Provide specialist speech and language therapy (SALT) for children aged 3–18 years attending the school.


Location: Hampshire

Responsibilities



  • Deliver 1:1 therapy sessions with pupils.
  • Run group interventions for social communication skills.
  • Manage a specialist clinical caseload autonomously.
  • Carry out assessments using standardised and informal tools.
  • Interpret assessment results and write detailed clinical reports.
  • Develop individual therapy plans and goals.
  • Use varied therapy techniques and graded activities.
  • Ensure treatment supports each child’s maximum potential.
  • Maintain high-quality clinical records.
  • Deliver a safe and effective therapy service.
  • Participate in service development and quality monitoring.
  • Work closely with: Teachers, Families, Multidisciplinary professionals.
  • Communicate effectively to support child safety and risk management.


Qualifications



  • Specialist Paediatric Speech and Language Therapist (Band 6)


Required Skills



  • Experience working with children aged 3–18 years.
  • Knowledge of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Sensory Processing Disorder, Dyspraxia, Dyslexia, and speech and language delays/disorders.


Preferred Skills



  • Ability to work holistically with families and a multidisciplinary team.


Pay range and compensation package



Salary: £38,500 – £47,000 per year (Full-time equivalent)



Hours: Term time only, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM, 40 hours per week. Part-time may be considered.
