Health and Safety Manager – Suffolk

Full-time or Fixed term for 1 year | On-site (wfh 1 day a week)


A long-established supplier within the manufacturing sector is expanding its team and is seeking a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to support fast-paced operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, develop, and implement health & safety policies across office and manufacturing environments.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring hazards are effectively controlled.
  • Maintain strong visibility on the factory floor, supporting teams to work safely in practice.
  • Work collaboratively with site managers, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure legal compliance.
  • Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across the business.
  • Prepare clear reports for senior leadership on performance, risks, and improvement plans.
  • Balance compliance with operational practicality to support safe and productive workflows.


What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in health & safety management within manufacturing, production, or similar environments.
  • Confident working on the shop floor and engaging directly with operational teams.
  • A practical, solutions-based approach to implementing safety procedures.
  • Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.


Qualifications & Experience

  • NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognised health & safety qualifications.
  • Strong knowledge of current UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
  • Experience conducting risk assessments in both office and manufacturing settings.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Up to £55,000 per annum (DOE)
