Health and Safety Manager – Suffolk
Full-time or Fixed term for 1 year | On-site (wfh 1 day a week)
A long-established supplier within the manufacturing sector is expanding its team and is seeking a proactive and hands-on Health & Safety Manager to support fast-paced operations.

What You’ll Do
- Lead, develop, and implement health & safety policies across office and manufacturing environments.
- Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring hazards are effectively controlled.
- Maintain strong visibility on the factory floor, supporting teams to work safely in practice.
- Work collaboratively with site managers, engineering, and compliance teams to ensure legal compliance.
- Promote a positive, proactive safety culture across the business.
- Prepare clear reports for senior leadership on performance, risks, and improvement plans.
- Balance compliance with operational practicality to support safe and productive workflows.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in health & safety management within manufacturing, production, or similar environments.
- Confident working on the shop floor and engaging directly with operational teams.
- A practical, solutions-based approach to implementing safety procedures.
- Strong risk assessment and hazard identification skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Qualifications & Experience
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent recognised health & safety qualifications.
- Strong knowledge of current UK health & safety legislation and industry best practice.
- Experience conducting risk assessments in both office and manufacturing settings.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
