PE Teacher | Lewisham | September Start

Are you a PE Teacher looking for a new role from September?

A well-regarded secondary school in Lewisham is seeking a committed PE Teacher to join their department from September. This role would suit an ECT or an experienced teacher who enjoys delivering well-structured practical lessons and encouraging pupils to take part in sport and physical activity.

You will be teaching PE across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to teach KS5 depending on experience. The department is organised and supportive, with a clear focus on participation, teamwork and strong outcomes at GCSE.

PE Teacher – Key Responsibilities:

• Teach PE across KS3–KS4 (KS5 available for the right candidate)

• Plan and deliver practical and theory-based lessons

• Prepare pupils for GCSE PE examinations

• Contribute to the wider life of the school through fixtures and extracurricular sport

• Support pupils of all abilities to develop skills and confidence

Person Specification:

• QTS and a degree in PE, Sports Science or a related subject

• Strong subject knowledge and confident behaviour management

• Able to deliver safe, structured and engaging lessons
