Are you a driven sales professional with a true hunter mentality and a new business focus? We are looking for an Account Manager / Sales Executive ideally located in the Manchester area to accelerate our growth across Central and North UK. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on acquiring new customers, building pipelines from scratch, and turning opportunities into long-term commercial success.

In this pivotal commercial role, you will focus heavily on new business hunting (80%+), while also managing and developing our direct customer base in the northern region. Working closely with our distribution partners, you will identify the right sales channels for each opportunity and ensure we continue expanding our footprint in the UK market.


This is a high‑impact commercial position suited to a proactive, energetic sales professional who knows how to open doors and close deals.


RESPONSIBILITIES.

New Business & Growth

  • Drive 80%+ new business acquisition, building a strong pipeline from the ground up.
  • Identify, target, and convert prospects into active customers.
  • Deliver measurable commercial growth within 2–3 years.


Territory & Account Management

  • Manage and expand direct customers in the North of the UK.
  • Cross-sell the full product and service portfolio to increase account penetration.
  • Identify opportunities requiring distributor involvement and collaborate closely with distributors for handover.


Distribution Development

  • Develop and onboard a new distributor(s) in Scotland, ensuring channel readiness and sales performance.
  • Strengthen relationships with current distribution partners to maximize market access.


Commercial Execution

  • Own the sales cycle from prospecting to closing.
  • Create accurate forecasts, track opportunities, and report pipeline progress.
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure customer onboarding, pricing alignment, and smooth sales delivery.


Territory & Travel

  • Field‑based role covering Central and North UK, including Scotland.
  • Regular travel required to visit prospects, customers, and distribution partners.


What your bring:

  • Proven hunter mentality: proactive, resilient, high‑activity, and new business oriented.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing full sales cycles.
  • Ability to work effectively with channel partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in the packaging industry or a related network. If outside the industry: ability to quickly ramp up and build market understanding.
  • Bachelor’s degree with 2–5 years of proven sales experience.
  • Dynamic and passionate people leader/coach with a strong teamwork mentality
  • Valid driver’s license.
