The Role

I am currently looking to speak with experienced Responsible Individuals for a newly registered children’s residential home in Workington, Cumbria.

The home will support children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and Learning Disabilities, initially accommodating three children with plans to expand to four places.

Registration has recently been approved and the service is currently awaiting the official certificate before placements begin.

A strong Registered Manager is already in place, and the provider is now seeking a Responsible Individual to provide strategic oversight, governance and regulatory leadership as the service establishes itself.

This is a part-time position of approximately one day per week (around 8 hours), with two visits to the home per month.

What they are looking for

• Already registered with Ofsted as a Responsible Individual

• Strong knowledge of Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted compliance

• Proven track record of Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes

• Ability to provide oversight, support and constructive challenge to the Registered Manager
