Speech and Language Therapist – School Based (Somerset)

Location: Hambridge, Somerset

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

Contract: Term‑Time Only

Hours: Full‑Time or Part‑Time (Flexible Working Available)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, intervention and therapy programmes for children with a range of speech, language and communication needs.
• Work closely with teaching staff to embed communication‑supportive strategies across the school day.
• Contribute to EHCPs, reviews, reports and collaborative planning meetings.
• Deliver individual and group therapy sessions tailored to pupil needs.
• Offer training, advice and modelling to teachers, support staff and parents.
• Maintain accurate documentation in line with professional standards.

Requirements

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist (HCPC registered).
• Experience working with children in educational or paediatric settings.
• Strong communication, collaboration and organisational skills.
• Commitment to child‑centred practice and inclusive education.
• Ability to work independently while being part of a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
