Are you a commercially driven relationship-builder with a passion for natural ingredients? We are seeking a proactive and ambitious Sales Executive to join F.D. Copeland and Sons Ltd at an exciting time of growth. This is a hands-on role within a respected, family-ethos business where your contribution will have real impact from day one.

As part of our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and strengthening existing partnerships across the food, flavour and fragrance sectors. Working closely with colleagues across production, quality, logistics and finance, you will manage the full sales cycle — from initial enquiry and product development discussions through to order fulfilment and delivery.

This position offers more than just a sales role; it is an opportunity to build deep expertise within the essential oils and food ingredients industry, develop international relationships, and grow professionally within a supportive environment. About the Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Account Management: Oversee key accounts on the sales side, including relationship management, order fulfilment, and performance tracking. Actively build and nurture accounts while identifying and developing new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Order Processing: Handle day-to-day order processing, including coordination with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Internal Operations: Contribute to product formulation, troubleshooting production issues, and supporting innovation initiatives.
  • Market Analysis: Monitor global market trends in essential oils and commodities, providing insights to inform purchasing and sales strategies.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams in a small company setting, including production, quality control, and finance, to optimize processes and resolve challenges.

 

 

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will need:

·        B2B sales experience

·        To be a proactive problem-solver who can think creatively and respond quickly to customer needs

·        A genuine interest in natural ingredients and a passion for all things natural.

·        Adaptability and a hands-on, can-do attitude, thriving in a small company environment where you will see projects through from enquiry to delivery.

·        To be highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple accounts and tasks simultaneously

·        A professional approach to customers and an ability to build credibility and trust

·        Be prepared to be office based at least for the first 2 years whilst you learn the business, products and processes.

·        Possess a business related degree
