Job description
We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team on a critical site, ensuring the continuous operation of essential mechanical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in high-pressure, mission-critical environments such as data centres or healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated plant
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
- Respond to alarms, faults, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner
- Monitor plant performance and ensure maximum uptime across all systems
- Work closely with electrical engineers and site teams during shifts
- Follow strict health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
- Accurately log all activities using CMMS and site reporting systems
