Job description

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Shift Engineer to join our team on a critical site, ensuring the continuous operation of essential mechanical infrastructure. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in high-pressure, mission-critical environments such as data centres or healthcare facilities.


Key Responsibilities


  • Operate and maintain mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, and associated plant
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance
  • Respond to alarms, faults, and emergencies in a timely and effective manner
  • Monitor plant performance and ensure maximum uptime across all systems
  • Work closely with electrical engineers and site teams during shifts
  • Follow strict health & safety procedures and permit-to-work systems
  • Accurately log all activities using CMMS and site reporting systems
