Aspire People are recruiting a bank of Graduate 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with additional needs in our partner secondary and SEN schools across Bolton. We work with a large network of schools who require passionate, dedicated, and resilient graduates to provide inclusive, tailored support to young people with SEND.

About the RoleAs a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:Work closely with children with additional needs (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD, and learning difficulties) within a secondary or SEN school setting.Support students on a 1:1 basis, following individual learning and behavioural plans.Build professional and nurturing relationships with students to encourage progress and independence.Adapt your approach to meet individual needs and learning styles.Provide an inclusive learning environment where every student can thrive.Work collaboratively with the SENCo and support students with EHCPs.Follow safeguarding procedures and understand signs of safeguarding concerns.

Essential Requirements:UK Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Education Studies or a subject related to SENExperience working with children with SENDPrevious experience working within a secondary school settingUnderstanding of SEND needs and ability to adapt support accordinglyStrong communication skills, resilience, patience and empathyAbility to build positive, professional relationships with studentsUnderstanding of safeguarding proceduresDBS on the Update Service or willing to obtain a new oneAbility to provide references covering the last 2 years
