This is where your role as Mental Health Assistant comes in!You will support them with all their needs in the classroom and model healthy ways for them to cope with their emotions.While you will be supporting the children, you will have the support of the class teacher yourself!Your day to day as a Mental Health Assistant: Providing support and assistance in 1 to 1 or in small group settings.You will take part in providing specific teaching techniquesReinforce any therapeutic techniques that the teacher has put in place to support the childrenThose who have a degree in psychology or criminology will greatly benefit from this role and the experience it offers.
