SEN Teaching Assistant - Autism Provision | Daily & Long-Term Opportunities

The Role - SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support students with Autism on a 1:1 basis and in small groups

Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities

Help manage behaviour and promote a calm, structured environment

Support students' communication, social interaction, and emotional development

*

Adapt learning approaches to meet individual needs and abilities

What We're Looking For in an SEN Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with children or young people with SEN, particularly Autism (preferred but not essential)

*

A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach

*

Strong communication and teamwork skills

*

Ability to remain calm and resilient in challenging situations

*

A genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs
