Are you an experienced sales leader with a passion for coaching, developing talent, and driving high‐performance teams? A leading investment management business is looking for an Internal Sales Team Manager to lead a high‐performing internal sales hub and play a key role in delivering best‐in‐class adviser support.
This is a pure people‐leadership role - no personal sales targets, no distribution, and no direct selling. Your success is measured by the performance, growth, and development of your team.
The Opportunity:As the Internal Sales Team Manager, you will lead a group of BDMs and BDAs, ensuring consistent delivery of proactive adviser engagement and seamless execution of sales campaigns. You will act as a role model for excellence, supporting strategic initiatives and driving performance across internal sales.
Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership & Coaching
Lead and develop a defined team of BDMs/BDAs.
Hold regular 1:1s, call coaching and performance reviews.
Set clear expectations around KPIs and activity levels.
Foster a culture of proactivity, accountability and adviser‐first service.
Performance Management
Translate business targets into actionable team KPIs.
Monitor activity and performance dashboards daily (Salesforce).
Identify underperformance early and implement improvement plans.
Celebrate and reward success across the team.
Deliver internal sales campaigns and messaging aligned with the broader sales strategy.
Ensure consistent use of scripts, templates and adviser outreach plans.
Track campaign effectiveness and provide performance insights.
Encourage innovation and contribution of new ideas.
Data & Salesforce Excellence
Ensure clean, accurate activity and pipeline records.
Generate weekly performance and trend reports.
Maintain high standards of adviser engagement and conversion tracking.
Work closely with external BDMs to ensure cohesive adviser coverage.
Partner with Marketing on messaging and campaign output.
Share structured feedback to influence future KPIs and sales processes.
Additional Responsibilities
Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new team members.
Lead knowledge‐sharing sessions within the wider team.
Support webinars, events and adviser engagement initiatives.
