QuantockOutdoor Education is an alternative education provision deliveringhigh quality learning and outdoor experiences for children and youngpeople with additional learning needs and/or emotional andbehavioural difficulties.

Our skilled team devise and deliverbespoke learning programmes designed specifically to support theneeds of our vulnerable young people and work closely with schoolsacross the Southwest to deliver an all-inclusive educationprovision. We place our young people at the centre of what we do andaim to make the National Curriculum accessible to all.

Weare looking for a dynamic youth support worker specialising inoutdoor learning to join our growing team. You will have experienceof working with children and young people. We are looking for someone withexcellent communication skills, that can positively engage andmotivate young people, irrespective of their level of needs.Youwill be responsible for and lead in the planning and delivery ofbespoke outdoor education packages for a range of age groups andneeds. Ensuring the provision of safe, healthy, and stimulating environments.Weare looking for a flexible and committed individual, passionateabout empowering children and young people. You'll work in acombination of offices, classrooms, and the outdoor environments.

This role is during term time only to support schools between the hours of 08:30am - 16:30pm,Monday - Friday, however, this can change dependent on the needs ofthe business and whether school holiday programmes are coordinated.

Thisrole is subject to the successful applicant having an enhancedDBS check for child and adult workforce with barred list checks.Thispost is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 andtherefore applicants are required to declare any convictions,cautions, reprimands, and final warnings that are not protected(i.e. That are not filtered out) as defined by theRehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (asamended in 2013 & 2023).Wedo not offer Sponsorship.
