About the RoleComplex Care. Specialist Team. Bluebird Care Mid & West Cornwall are recruiting Female Support Workers to join our established Complex Care teams. This role involves supporting customers across multiple existing care packages in Penzance, Camborne and Redruth, delivering specialist one-to-one care to individuals with advanced clinical needs in their own homes.

Shifts include week shifts, days, nights and alternate weekends as part of a structured rota. This role forms part of a consistent team providing continuous care and monitoring across day and night shifts. You do not need previous complex care experience. You do need commitment, reliability and the motivation to develop specialist skills within a 24-hour care environment.

What the Role InvolvesYou will work as part of a dedicated team supporting a customer with complex needs within their home on a 24-hour rota basis.

Your responsibilities may include:

Delivering personal care with dignity and professionalism

Supporting complex needs in line with detailed care plans

Medication administration

Monitoring and recording observations

Supporting mobility, positioning and pressure care

Maintaining accurate documentationProviding reassurance and consistent support throughout the shift

Clear handovers between shifts to ensure safe continuity of care

This is a structured team-based role requiring consistency, attention to detail and strong communication.

This role includes:

Full specialist training provided from day one

Ongoing competency assessments and refresher training

Structured supervision and support

Opportunities to develop extended complex care skills

You will always be supported within a clearly defined framework.

Pay and Progression£12.24 – £12.42 per hour currently, Increasing to £13.46 – £13.66 per hour from 1st April 2026.

Bank Holidays paid at £19.58 per hour from 1st April 2026.

Paid induction and full complex care training. Ongoing professional development and extended skills training. As our complex care services grow, so do opportunities for progression within the team.
