South West based charitable housing association BCHA was founded over 50 years ago with a continuing mission to meet housing need and end homelessness. This role is working at Bournemouth University with their students.
We are looking for a compassionate and motivated individual to join our team supporting students who are experiencing, or approaching, a mental health crisis. This role focuses on delivering customer‐led support using person‐centred and psychologically informed approaches. You will provide information, advice and practical and emotional support, helping students navigate challenging periods and move towards greater independence and stability. Working within the BCHA Psychologically Informed Framework, you will contribute to a high‐quality, safe and responsive service in line with our policies, procedures, values and strategic objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver person‐centred, psychologically informed support
Provide advice and guidance to students in or nearing crisis
Build positive, professional relationships based on trust and respect
Promote wellbeing, independence and positive change
Contribute to the safe and effective day‐to‐day running of the service
