£105,000 Plus 20% Bonus

The Opportunity-

We’re hiring a Group Operations Engineer (Mechanical) to help drive operational excellence across a multi‑site data centre estate.

In this central engineering role, you will play a key part in defining, standardising, and implementing operational processes across mechanical disciplines — supporting resilience, compliance, and consistent operations across mission‑critical sites.


What You’ll Do

  • Lead and enhance mechanical engineering standards across all data centres.
  • Improve maintenance governance, risk management, and incident readiness.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades, lifecycle planning, and capacity modelling for mechanical systems.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance, health & safety alignment, and audit readiness.
  • Work cross‑functionally with site operations, projects, and contractors to strengthen uptime and performance.


What You’ll Bring

  • Strong mechanical engineering background in critical environments
  • Experience implementing or standardising multi‑site operational processes
  • Deep understanding of compliance frameworks, safety standards, and engineering governance
  • Clear communicator with strong stakeholder influence and a continuous‑improvement mindset.
