Power BI developer

Harnham is looking for a Power BI developer

Job description

POWER BI DEVELOPER £35,000 LONDON, LEEDS OR MANCHESTER (HYBRID — 2 DAYS IN OFFICE)

A strong opportunity for a Power BI Developer to join a small, high-impact data team embedded within one of the most well-connected agency groups in the market. You'd be working across major client accounts, building dashboards and reports that directly inform strategy — with real visibility at senior level from day one.

THE COMPANY Our client is the data powerhouse within a leading group of media, technology, and creative agencies. With around 8 people in the team, they punch well above their weight — delivering data-led insights for some of the world's most recognisable brands across FMCG, tech, and telecoms. It's a collaborative, fast-moving environment where your work gets seen and your impact is felt quickly.

THE ROLE

  • Build high-quality Power BI dashboards and reports for both client projects and internal initiatives
  • Develop and maintain structured data models including star schemas
  • Use DAX, calculated columns and measures, and Power Query to transform and optimise data
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of BI standards and design systems across the team
  • Liaise confidently with internal stakeholders and present your work clearly
  • Assist with analysis and insight generation for major client accounts

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Strong, demonstrable Power BI expertise — data modelling and DAX are essential
  • Ability to showcase previous work, whether dashboards, case studies or a portfolio
  • Solid understanding of Power Query; SQL is beneficial but not a hard requirement
  • Knowledge of DAX Studio or Tabular Editor is a bonus
  • Experience with Tableau or Qlik is a rare plus
  • Open to candidates from varied backgrounds — years of experience is not rigidly defined, the right skills and attitude matter most

SALARY AND BENEFITS

  • £35,000 base salary
  • Hybrid working — 2 days in office (London, Leeds or Manchester)
  • Work with globally recognised brands across FMCG, tech and telecoms
  • Small team with direct exposure to senior stakeholders
  • Fast progression in a growing, data-first environment
