Job description

Milk Education is recruiting enthusiastic and motivated Graduate Teaching Assistants to join SEN schools across Swadlincote and the surrounding areas, working on a long-term basis, starting after the Easter Break.

This is an exciting opportunity for graduates who are passionate about education and eager to gain hands-on experience supporting pupils with special educational needs in a rewarding and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with additional learning or behavioural needs.

• Assist teachers in delivering tailored lessons and activities to meet individual pupil targets.

• Support pupils with communication, social skills, and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

• Promote positive behaviour and engagement within the classroom and wider school setting.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

• A degree in any subject with a genuine interest in education and supporting young people.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, proactive, and caring approach to working with pupils.

• Ability to work effectively under the guidance of teachers and support staff.
