Company Overview

You will be joining a very prestigious and well-known international Education business as their Group Financial Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a very exciting, newly created role which is part of a high-performing, incredibly supportive and sociable Group Finance team of 15, where you will work closely alongside experienced individuals who will be there to aid your continued career development. Based in their very modern and luxurious City of London office 1-2 days a week, you will have the option to work from home for the remaining 3-4 days.


Role Responsibilities

This role will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial accounting and control activities across a range of month-end processes. You will perform end-to-end transactional accounting for allocated entities, prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, manage prepayment and accrual accounting, prepare and process cost recharges, assist with a small volume of AP activities (such as invoice processing and supplier management) and maintain the general ledger and month-end close activities. You will prepare monthly P&L and balance sheet analytics, support the preparation and review of lease accounting entries in accordance with UK GAAP and perform fixed asset accounting activities. You will have the opportunity to support with broader finance transformation initiatives, including process automation, system optimisation and AI-related improvements.


Role Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and be confident with month-end close activities and balance sheet reconciliations. You will be familiar with group reporting and P&L analysis, and ideally have some exposure to leases and fixed assets. Candidates must be actively studying towards (or keen to begin) a further Accounting qualification such as AAT, ACCA or CIMA. You will be a strong communicator and a critical thinker, with high attention to detail and the ability to self-review. You will have a proactive approach and demonstrate an interest in process improvement.

You will receive an annual salary of up to £46,000 + 10% annual bonus + benefits and this package will be regularly reviewed to remain in line with market rate.
