Salary: £49,000

The Role

Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a service in Hertfordshire working within a mental health PICU setting. This is a great opportunity to support patients with acute and complex mental health needs in a structured inpatient environment.

Details

The role involves working within a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), supporting patients with severe and acute mental health conditions. You will provide therapeutic interventions to promote recovery, independence, and engagement in meaningful activities as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload within a mental health PICU setting
• Complete comprehensive functional and risk assessments
• Develop and implement individualised care and treatment plans
• Deliver therapeutic interventions to support recovery and daily functioning
• Work collaboratively with patients, families, and the multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to care planning

Requirements

• HCPC registration
• Experience working within mental health settings, ideally inpatient or PICU
• Understanding of acute mental health conditions and risk management
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and organisational skills
