Account Manager – Corporate Communications


About the Role

We’re working with a leading, integrated communications agency to find an Account Manager to join their growing Corporate Communications team.

In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality communications programmes and providing trusted counsel to a diverse client base. You’ll bring at least 2+ years’ experience in PR and corporate communications, with a strong track record in media relations, social media, and reputation management, including experience in fast-paced and issues-sensitive environments.

While the primary focus is corporate communications, the agency delivers integrated campaigns spanning PR, corporate reputation, and stakeholder engagement, and you may have the opportunity to support broader strategic communications work.


Key Responsibilities

  • Leading and delivering integrated corporate communications programmes, including press releases, thought leadership, reports, briefing materials, stakeholder communications, and reactive statements
  • Developing compelling media angles and narratives that enhance client reputation and support strategic objectives
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, journalists, and key stakeholders
  • Acting as a trusted day-to-day contact, ensuring high-quality delivery across accounts
  • Monitoring media and industry developments, advising clients on risks, opportunities, and reputational impact
  • Supporting clients through reputation management and issues-sensitive communications
  • Contributing to new business activity, including research, proposals, and pitch support
  • Managing and mentoring junior team members, supporting their development
  • Producing high-quality, client-ready content with strong attention to detail
  • Representing the agency at industry events and supporting its external profile


Key Skills & Experience

  • At least 2 years’ experience in corporate communications / PR, either agency-side or in-house
  • Proven ability to secure media coverage across national, trade, and digital outlets
  • Strong understanding of the UK media landscape and corporate reputation environment
  • Excellent writing, communication, and client management skills
  • Experience in reputation and issues management
  • Ability to adapt messaging for different audiences, including thought leadership and stakeholder communications
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior colleagues is a plus
  • Exposure to integrated campaigns (e.g. Digital, paid, or public affairs) is advantageous
