Field Service Engineer – Clinical Diagnostics
Territory: South UK with a focus on London, M25 & M4 Corridors. Flexibility is needed to travel to customers further afield in Cardiff, Bristol, Norwich & Portsmouth areas
Remote based and ideally living in London or within an hour

The role of Field Service Engineer – Clinical Diagnostics: -
- Carry out installation, maintenance, and repair of our clients current and future Life Science/Diagnostics instrument portfolio, with an initial focus on Reproductive Health Screening
- Organise routine maintenance allocated on a monthly basis
- Ensure that all documentation, Service Data Bulletins and manuals are of the correct revision to undertake service on specific instrument types
- Adopt personal working practices to meet or exceed customer expectations
- Maintain an ethos of working practices that boost personal and team KPIs
- Manage personal service spares issued and inventory records to the highest standard
- Ensure all anomalies are quickly and effectively reported and resolved
- Ensure all tools and test equipment are adequate to perform the service required, and that all test equipment issued is calibrated at the times specified
- Complete all Work Orders and associated documentation within a day of completion
- Ensure all E Learning, Expense Claims and Vehicle related forms are retuned on time
- Perform specific and agreed tasks as defined through the Goal statements, already embedded in the Company Culture
The requirements of the Field Service Engineer – Clinical Diagnostics: -
- 2+ years of experience as a Field Service Engineer with experience installing, servicing & repairing Immunoassay/clinical diagnostic instruments in hospitals (Ideally in Pathology/Biochemistry departments)
- Related clinical diagnostic instrument servicing experience will be fully considered
- You will have either an Electronics or Biomedical Engineering background by qualification such as a HND, HNC, BEng or equivalent
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with customers on all levels, providing service information, technical data and general help as necessary
- Strong customer service ethic
- Prepared to travel (average 1 night away per week but it could be more as required)
- Full UK/EU driving license and full right to work in the UK without needing Visa sponsorship and no travel restrictions
