T2M Resourcing are working with a growing engineering and manufacturing business; we are supporting them with recruitment of a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team.

As Senior Mechanical Engineer, the role will support the Head of Engineering as well as leading projects and design work across customer projects.

This role will suit a hands-on Senior Mechanical Engineer who is comfortable being on the shop floor regularly and can support manufacturing teams as well as customers.

Duties of a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Completing design, development, and verification of machinery.
• Undertaking analysis, modelling, and FAT of new machinery or components.
• Root cause analysis of failures for components and machinery throughout projects.
• Liaising with project teams, customers, and engineering teams throughout product development phases.
• Working closely with tooling, manufacturing and electrical teams on product development.

Requirements to be successful as a Senior Mechanical Engineer:

• Degree or HNC level qualification in mechanical engineering or similar.
• Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in delivering designs, prototypes, and completed products.
• Capable of designing full complex machinery and individual components.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and project management teams.
• Understanding of DFMEA, manufacturing techniques, and modelling tools.
• Knowledge of engineering analysis principles and materials engineering.
• Confident using IT systems and engineering tools/techniques.
• Able to set and deliver against targets.

The Senior Mechanical Engineer role will be based in Rugby, Warwickshire however will include site visits with suppliers, customers, and other manufacturing locations. A Full UK Driving License is required for the role.
