Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Health and Safety Officer based in Wirral, with opportunities for some work from home. In this position, the Health and Safety Officer will be responsible for implementing and monitoring workplace safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role also involves delivering training programs, maintaining records, and advising staff on environmental health and safety (EHS) practices. Responding to incidents, conducting investigations, and recommending improvements to mitigate risks are key aspects of this role. The Health and Safety Officer will play a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety within the organization.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Health & Safety and Occupational Health practices
  • Strong understanding of Environment Health and Safety (EHS) and Workplace Safety
  • Possession of a NEBOSH qualification or similar certification
  • Attention to detail and ability to conduct thorough risk assessments
  • Experience delivering training and promoting a safety-oriented culture
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to workplace environments
  • Familiarity with policy development and safety management systems is a plus
